Today I wanted smaller pieces of LR, so I broke open a large piece of it. Inside of it was a white, silty powder that sticks to your hand. Any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance!

Probably substrate that worked itself into a void within the rock.

I’m not sure, it looks like something from the rock myself, but I could be mistaken.

If that was Caribsea liferock might have been what they used to make the rock and hold it in place.
