live rock

i have just brought 15kg of live rock and from my friend who has closed his tank down now. my question is can i put it’s right into my tank or will i have to cure it for a few weeks?
also i’m thinking of adding some more to my sump would i have to wait for this or put the stuff for the sump straight in?

Shake it off in sw and put.it in your.sump
