Live rock

Hello guys i am looking for people who have purchased live rock from various online providers such as kp aquatics, saltybottom, and others. Please provide some pictures and your overall experience ordering from the place. Heres mine: first batch of saltybottom i got many crabs including decorator crabs, spider crabs, and pistol shrimps too. I also received lots of sponges and tunicates as well as some nudibranch eggs. For my second batch i received many bilvalves sponges tunicates and macros. I had also received many mithrax crabs and porcelain crabs. I even recieved a small fish which unfortunately died

I bought their nano package, which is 17 pounds. I also had it shipped to my door, overnight through UPS for, I think, $180.

Yeah im actually planning on getting the rock that u got now as 17 pounds of it is only 185 bucks while 15 pounds of sb is around 200+

125 Lbs. of KP Live Rock on airplane now.

Its been years since I have done this. Last time I got rock it was wrapped in wet news paper and was a long cycle. Smelly. This is shipped in water and weighs 285 pounds with water. Freight was high but supposedly better. Its going in my Reefer 900 (240gal) which was has been full and running...

lol just discovered real rock n reef… now im debating b/t it and gulfliverock. Any opinions? I see how in the past both had some negative reviews but now it seems they are both getting tons of good reviews

I have never bought live rock from rocknreef but I am more than happy with my gulf live rock purchase,
I literally just got a small shipment of live rock in TODAY from tbsaltwater . com and although I haven't noticed any cool coral, I have no complaints about them either !! Loads of life, very little die off, lots of barnacles, no foul smells and amazing customer service ! Only down side to tbsaltwater, is their website is under construction, and you have to email them to place an order. But they are very prompt and courteous !

I see. I looked at uour thread but i may have mossed it… did you get many inverts from the rock?

Oh lord yes. More spaghetti/Medusa worms than I can count, a truckload of brittle stars,a few reef star fish, a bunch of tunicates from GLR, a bunch of barnacles from TBS, a couple cup coral, peanut worms, pods, sponges, anemones, and I am sure there is a bunch more stuff that I am missing.
