Where is your favorite place/online vendor to purchase live rock from? I was wanting to get some for my 20gal hexagon tank. It was a fish QT, but now has to be a permanent home for one of my clownfish that had to be banished from my DT for being a butthead.

To answer your question .
I went to my lfs and bought the rock they advertised as live but essentially it’s wet rocks in a large tote of water .
picked a few pieces and took them home and added to my system

I’ve bought from Gulf Liverock (first picture) and KP Aquatics (2nd picture). KP ships in full water which maintains all the biodiversity. Both of these arrived in the past month.

Gulfliverock comes with tons of macroalgae on it.

Thank you everyone. Luckily I never needed to add any chemicals to it. I will check out those vendors!
I think KP is shut down for the rest of the year but I’m still amazed at the rock I got from them. Got 5-6 pistol shrimp in 15lbs. Would 1000% buy from them again.

I have used both TBS & GLR. I couldn't be more pleased with either one of them ! The ONLY complaint I have (almost a year later) is that I should have bought more rock ! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I do not have any recent pics, but I do have a thread on here with pics, if you would like to see them.

If you want some cool shapes and like paying a premium, unique corals has been doing WYSIWYG Austrian liverock. Personally I’d rather just buy from KP OR gulf again but you can’t beat the shapes.

Are these basically Australian version of tonga branch?

KP Aquatics. The rock has amazing shapes and biodiversity. There are tunicates, macroalgaes, pistol shrimp, and lots of sponges and coralline. Be aware that it can have some bad algae on it, however. Mine came with bryopsis and dictyota. Still worth it, though! Algae can always be removed, and true biodiversity can only come from the ocean.
