Who else feels live sales have become a scam ? New live sale every weekend , inflated prices , common everyday seen corals over priced ? $100 acan frags .... ya ok ! Acropora micro frags for hundreds ... “XXL” “super chunky” frags that are actually normal frags ... dont get me started about this “mini” colony BS .

All we can do is not support that type of event. I have stuff I consider ok sized frags and friends think they are colonies. I tell them that’s not a colony and I’m not fragging a frag

Some events are better than others. Cherry Corals does great ones. I’ve gotten sweet stuff that’s grown overtime into awesome colonies.

I don't typically shop online but I have noticed it too. A frag marked up 40% then discounted 20% for the sale. And the constant sale onslaught is getting a tad annoying. I get we are all home and they are dying for our money but geez

No one is forcing you to buy anything. When people stop buying the system will change.

Corals.com and AquaSD.com have more sales than I can stand. So I just put them on ignore and move on.

Agreed. I think FHC did a great live sale and the prices were very good, compared to other live sales.

In the past, I thought ARC and TCK live sales were good, but the prices seem higher for the current live sales than their past sales.

This is very true. I think it is the newbies mostly that get sucked in. I don't have any evidence. Just a guess.

Vendors do whatever works. Live sales get people into the "shortage" feeding frenzy that makes people buy against their better judgement. It is a great marketing tool.

You are 100% correct and I myself never buys anything from them for the simple reason of pricing and not being able to maximize shipping. But that’s just me and just responding to the OP.

I believe so many new hobbyists do jump on those, spend a lot of money, kill the coral and regret it.

I give stuff away locally or trade instead of selling at crazy prices. For me less headache that way. Also won’t give something to someone unless I know their tank is ready for the piece I’m giving them.

Hello,

I‘M sorry if you do not like the Live Sales. I know the vendors work very hard to make them special and they spend a TON of time and effort to give the community the best they can.

Thank you for the feedback. This thread is closed.
