I'm going to be picking up some sand to start my 20 gallon reef tank. I've have chosen Tropic Eden sand becuase of all of the amazing reviews I have read. I am unsure on what size I should get?
Reef Flakes, Mini Flakes, Meso Flakes...
Obviously I don't want a sandstorm in my tank and I plan to have some critters that like to dig.. like a pistol shrimp.. and I will probably add a single powerhead at some point..

What size would be best?

I'm not sure that's the best kind of substrate for a shrimp to build with – aren't these powdery in consistency? – but that may not be as important to you as the sand you're using.

Just a thought.

There is a few different sizes of this type of sand. 4.5mm I don't think is close to powder?
The have one that the size is 0.5mm...

That was my question... lol. What size would be best.

I'd go with either the Rubbly Reef or Reef Flakes. That's just me (I dont' even know if these are all actually offered by them, got it off google)
Edit: the pic isn't showing!!
