Hi everyone I'm a beginner that's done tons of research on the saltwater aquarium hobby and I plan on using pink Fiji sand considering it has millions of live beneficial bacteria should I rinse it or not all feedback will be well appreciated thanks.

Welcome to Reef2reef, David!

I’ve always been the guy that would buy “dry/dead” sand as it will become live anyway. As with dry sand, live sand will have “fines” or to put it another way “dust”, small particles that will cloud the water column for awhile. Rinsing with tap water will kill the live part of it and you essentially end up with dry sand , that will become live shortly anyway.

So, your call. Buy live and have the cloudy water for sometime or rinse it clear. Dry and rinse.
