Live sand

Hi I have new Redsea reefer 250 I am wondering if it’s ok to put live sand in the sump. I’ve just got all the equipment to start. I’m just waiting to move before I set it all up .thank you Dave

some people have put sand in the sump, but I wouldn’t. Consider something a little easier to move around without stirring up a cloud, like live rock or bio balls.
