Right now I’m using fritz but I got a box and the mag was 1500+. Thinking about switching to liveaquaria salt as it’s regularly on sale with coupon codes for $40. Some say it’s the two are the same.

Just wondering who’s the using it the LA salt and what have the recent parameters been on it. Also if you could post of picture of your tank that would be awesome.

i have been using it for last yr or so. but i honestly never tested the parameters in a newly mixed saltwater. I have zeovit mag flakes in the calcium reactor.
With consistent dosing from cal reactor, i switch between fritz, liveaquaria or regular IO whichever is on sale and never had any issues of fluctuating numbers.

It’s on sale right now. I’m currently using Tropic Marin, but I can get two boxes of LA for the price of one bucket of TM. Anyone else has any feedback?

I am a very steady and supportive IO user, but my guess is that if you had mag of 1500 on a batch of Fritz, then it needed dry mixed.

Did you dry mix it, or use the whole container/bag? It is really important that you do either of these. All salts settle even if they manufacturer says that they have a uniform particle size.

I have also heard from some industry people that LA is rebranded Fritz... no idea if it is true.

It’s almost always on sale... just gotta wait for best deal... my last order was less than $30 a box!

Been using it for about 6 months now, just bought 5 boxes not too long ago. Mixes fine TM still better but LA Salt is perfectly fine.
