Anyone know the specific gravity they ship the captive bred fish in? I know 1.025 for DD and 1.019 for normal fish but I don't recall if tank bred are one or the other. I have a captive breed yt coming in the morning. Thanks in advance

I could be wrong, but since it comes from the same facility as DD, it is probably the same salinity.

If all else fails I have used a pin to poke a hole in the bag to let some drops of water out so I can test it but not let air in while floating the bag. Put a little tape over the hole and back to floating. It's kind of awkward though and one time I didn't get the tape on there perfect and the bag started deflating from leaking the water into my QT. But it did work and I still had time to get the QT water matched.

Doesn't DD ship from Wisconsin? I believe captive bred ships from FL (Ora) and the regular stuff from CA.

ORA is the only stuff that ships from Florida. You got the biota yellow tang right? If so, all biota fish ship from Wisconsin. All other non-ORA and Biota captive bred fish ship from California.

Oh ok your right. I see on the ship notification now it says DD facility in it. So I'll plan for 1.025 on that one. Guess I'm gonna have to set 2 separate qt then because I also got a butterfly from CA coming.
