I've been considering livestock for the tank that I'm planning out and I think I'm going to start out with pair of clowns. I would like something hardy to start out with. In our old tank, back in the 90s, we had a few Damsel and Wrasse. What are the best fish starting off after a cycle in your opinion? Preferably something that is not going to be a total jerk or pick at any new coral...

Thank you!

Clowns are still a great start. Damsels never a good choice imo (with exception of clowns, since they are technically damsels..) tank size is a big consideration, what are you working with?

Ooooops. It is a 46 gallon bow front.

A pair of clowns would be a perfect choice for a 46 gallon. After the clowns have been in the tank for a month or two maybe a lawnmower blenny.

some good options for that size tank:

pair of clowns
small wrasse (I like six lines, lots of people disagree)
firefish
small blennies/gobies
damsels (add them last so they aren't mean to newcomers)
