Livestock dead following power loss

I went to move him to DT...checked salinity...moved him...died...

Last night we lost power for 1 1/2 hours...turned on generator...too late, the yellow tail, bennie and the cleaner shrimp were dead...my wife says it was the AquaStick...I used it all day today, but don't remember using it last night...also today I cleaned out sump and sump pump and pumps...nothing unusual...

Anyhow, about two hours later I came home and checked salinity in both QT and DT...all OK...moved Chucky with a net...and he rolled over in the DT and died...tried to put him back in the QT...too late...

Any ideas...I loved those little guys and no one could have given more care...and checked everything with you...what do you think...the AquaStick?...or what...

Any aerosols sprayed? Check ammonia/nitrite?

This doesn't say disease to me, more of something introduced by accident to your tank or all the deaths spiked the ammonia/nitrite. Any symptoms on the fish?

I dont see epoxy causing this alone. Maybe a combination of the stress from the power outage, coupled with lack of oxygen or maybe a toxin of some sort from an outside source.

I'm sorry I'm sure you've told us who chucky is in another thread, but You'll have to recap for me. I'm very sorry for your loss. I assume he was done with QT at this point? Had been treated and was doing well before the transfer?

ammonia/nitrite all OK...Today when I put Chucky back in the QT...I noticed his gills seemed spayed and red...of course he was already gone...

Cong has been following humblefishs advice. His other thread starts with the power outage and lost everything unfortantly.

Everything was good to this point ey? I've been following Chucky for a while now. Just don't give up my friend, we all go through this at some point.

running it all along...water's a bit cloudy...they say the epoxy has talc in it and can be a problem...but I don't think I used it yesterday...cemented corals today for maybe 3 hours, but its only a 10 gal...didn't use that much epoxy...

Thanks...I'm retired and you want to say...the H--- with it...is it worth all the work and what turns out to be heartache...like we're responsible for their lives...

Back to the issue, 1.5 hours with no power with minimal livestock, should this be an issue?

Any aerosol or air fragrances sprayed @Congaken ?

Two little fishies epoxy putty possibly used (just taking everything into consideration Cong). Any possible side affects?

Duke...haven't learned anything yet...maybe don't name your fish and don't get the cutest ones...water still cloudy...I'm guessing from the aquastik...nothing else in the tank...

also my skimmer was overfoaming yesterday...turned it on and off...I was thinking they were overoxygenated yesterday and than a big drop when power went off...not outage today though...
