Living room lighting and tank lighting schedule

So my tank is in the living room and we lighting there throughout the night, with the tank lighting scheduled in the day and the room lightning all night, how would that affect the fish:coral? Would they think it's daylight all the time and throw them off?

You should program your lights to go on during the hours that you're home to enjoy your tank. Your tank lighting schedule doesn't have to follow the actual sun schedule.

I work graveyard so it kinda throws everything off. Basically it seems as if there is light all day. Would that have an effect?
