Hi all

So after a few years of reefing I’ve been through the Softie phase, LPS and I’m breaking into the SPS Dominant / mixed reef, now I have a burning topic which I’m sure has been raised time and time again. I’ve tinkered with ULNS and elevated nutrients and I see both plus and negatives both ways.

I would love to start a thread with pictures of your tanks and corals, both LPS, SPS and Mixed Reef with your System type or nutrient parameters (No3 and p04) PAR figures would also be great if you have them ?

I’ll start with some comparison pics, ok so these frags had remained this size for a month or so, I like the colour here with elevated nutrients N03 at 15-20ppm PO4 at 0.08 so better colour but slow to no growth and a few issues with GHA

Around a month ago I lowered the levels to N03 5ppm and PO4 to 0.03

The growth has been great on these three frags, the GHA has actually got worse in one high PAR area (seen in the slimmer pic) and some corals on the bottom have bleached mainly favia. I’ve reduced PAR so lower nutrient obviously goes with lower light tolerance and colour seems not as great ?
