Do I have to feed or do anything with this coral? Also how long till they open up.

I was told by my local lfs that it should be fed 1 to 2 times a week but tidal garden says every other day. What is the correct ammont

It's slimy right now. What does that mean? Also this is it. It was marked as a deep purple lobo

Depends solely on conditions.
I personally don’t target feed any of my corals.
The fish do that for me through poop.

Coral can slime up when out of water.
I’d pass on the direct feeding for a month or so.
I’d needs to get comfortable.
Seeing what looks like green on rocks, check phosphate is in the range 0.05-.15ppm.
