This is my first Lobophyllia and just wondering if it should look as it does or “spill over” the structure it’s on. Placement ok?

I have feed it twice at night after the light were off and it ate fine.

How do I get it to feed with light on like the rest of my lps

You give a little food in the tank and wait until technicals come out "15 min" then feed. I give mine pieces of food

You can place pellets by its mouths and it will wrap then up and eat them within 5 minutes or so. Reason I said pellets is that they will stay put until the coral wraps them up and swallows them.

Looks great. IMO, dont worry about the manual feeding....its your first lobo and they really dont need it. The LPS in your aquarium, will get used to your feeding schedule with time. YOu will see it open up during feeding time after time. Dont over complicate the care for it. Let it settle in and then you can go to what ever feeding method you choose.

Follow up. I found a snail IN the lobo today. I wasn’t sure if it was ok or bothering the lobo. I turned the lobo upside down to see if the snail would detach and it did. (Snail is Alive). Should the lobo look like this? Did the stupid snail eat the lobos flesh?
