Today I noticed what look like some sort of tube worms growing in my lobo. Can anyone ID what they are, and any guidance on what to do about them?

Here's a photo from 2 weeks ago before the problem, with the area in question circled:

Maybe vermetid snails which can irritate corals. Some reefers glue them shut, others remove them with a cheap scalpel or break them off. Be careful, they are rigid and not kind to human fingers.

I forgot to mention that each tube has two fine hairs sticking out. You can see them in the first photo.

I haven't been able to get an ID on these for a long time, I have them too

From what I can see online, vermetid worms grow on live rock and coral, spionid worms grow on sand. I'm in favor of vermetid worms, I'm happy to finally know what they are.

Yeah, second pic shows organism with multiple palps; think it might be a type of hydroid?

The second photo was simply showing the coral before the worms arrived. It looked perfectly normal in that shot. I just circled the area where the worms later showed up.

Spionid worm has a couple of long feelers that come out to search for food. Vermitide have a web they cast out which annoys the corals. This is a spionid

I agree, they appear to be spionid worms. I plucked a couple of them off the coral with tweezers and they came off easily.

Thanks everyone!
