Just identified this horrible algae. Did a little reading. Went to the LFS bought 6 Emerald Crabs. I have noticed that it has spread to some coral like the trunk of my Bi Color Torch. Rocks etc. I'm thinking of letting it go a little while but in the meantime buy some new dry rock, start curing it. Once cured, set up a new tank from scratch.

It looks like I am going to have to ditch all my corals. That sucks. I wouldn't want to transfer it to the new tank. Has anyone ever beat this algae? It's only a 50 gal cube.

Thanks for any advice.

Anytime I have gotten this algae, I have always been able to rid it by 1 of 2 means, blasting it with H202 (Hydrogen Peroxide) or letting the rock dry out, power washing it, and putting it back in. Best of luck!
