Hi everyone
The transfer from sps to lps and softies is going good , I was looking at lobophylia and symphylia to add but heard some bad stuff about them . What do you think about them ?
thanks

Same question, what in the heck did you hear bad about them…these are great corals. I make sure I always have one in my tank and never had any issues

What have you heard that's bad about them?
People say they just die without any sign they do not like water quality . The one I am probably going to get will have to be delivered so my worry was with the stress of being delivered and them supposedly dying without a sign means I would lose a lot of money .

Just people said they die without a sign that they do not like something . The one I’d get would be online . So I thought with the stress of postage and them just dying I would lose a lot of money .
I really do want one they are stunning corals , so thanks for the Reassurance.

IME they are pretty hardy, mine is always fat and happy looking. Most of the big fleshy LPS are quite hardy. So long as your water quality is decent and you feed it, it’ll likely be fine. IME, they’ll tolerate somewhat higher nutrients, but like all stony corals they need stable Alk and Cal.

I agree. I can tell you from experience that my lobos did bleach out when I let my nitrates and phosphates go through the roof, but they've recovered nicely. And I bought my symphyllia from an online vendor across the country (and which took three days to arrive, in -20C weather), and it survived the journey well.
