hey folks, my green lobophytum or devils hand leather has had weird signs of distress that look somewhat like bitemarks but also look more like its just rotting there. Ive had it grow from the size of a pinky finger to it being 2 fists large now.

I have had some issues over the last few months that cost my few acro frags their lives but most other corals survived with no harm done. Things have been stable for at least 1-2 months now and its showing these weird marks.

Also it seems healthy overall but has these spots. Any one got an idea?

Im still abit above where i wanna be with nitrate and phosphate with nitrate at 20 and phosphate at a little above 0.1

I really dont see my parameters being the issue.

Help is appreciated!

Nitrate and Phosphate isn't the issue here.

Have the polyps ever come out and stay out?

Does look like bite marks, but not ruling out a bacterial infection.

ye polyps have been and still are widely open. i moved it a bit before the picture was taken. Another thing i notice is its almost lying flat at night only to become straight over the course of the day. not sure if that's common for those corals. Im not really experienced with leathers.

It does kinda look like a bacterial infection tough i didn't know that's a common thing to happen to corals. What could've caused that and is there a way to treat that?? its not only one spot but rather a few. Even tough it looks like bite marks(and i read about predatory crabs taking nips at leathers) its not like ripped out flesh. its more like its rotting. U see the yellowish color of its flesh were its torn.
