Lobster used as food?

I work in a restaurant and cut lobster tails from time to time. I often have a little scraps from trimming and was wondering if this is okay to feed. These tails come in frozen and are thawed then cut. I didn't see anything on the case that indicates it's anything but frozen lob tails. This wouldn't be my staple food source. I use shrimp from work but our tilapia fillets are farm raised and don't hold much nutritional value so I don't use them. I just love feeding something different every day of the week and thought if this is safe then it would be great to throw in the mix. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Would definitely work. Just be sure to keep it refrigerated before it makes it into your tank..

One thing about lobster is that it is very high in copper relative to things like fish or shrimp. They have copper based blood instead of iron.

This is very interesting, did not know.
As a diver I've caught lots of lobster, and occasionally small treats given to tank.

One thing about lobster, is for being bottom feeders, they have an amazing natural filtration system that keeps them from having contaminants in their flesh, but I had no idea they had a copper based blood.

True, so do horseshoe crabs. Their blood is even blue.
