So I have a new 75 gallon tank build started and I’m new to saltwater and reef tanks and have a few questions. I have a tank build thread started and am gonna do my best to keep it up to date I have drilled and installed an Eshopps eclipse L rated at 1000 gph flow. I installed it in the center of the long
side of the tank and wanted to do drilled split returns and wonder if this is the best route to go? And trying to determine what size to split them off at maybe 3/4” ? And where would be the best location
to install them? Forgot to mention will be using an Eshopps R-200 sump.
Thanks

If spitting the returns, 3/4" is a common size and you should have no problem finding parts/fittings.
I would have the returns far enough apart from each other as to not make one or the other redundant. They should also be far enough away from the overflow as to make sure the water isn't just recycling through the overflow/return/overflow etc
