Hi, I am not sure why I cant push them together. I tried getting guys bigger than me to push the lock line links together but no :( How do you do it. TIA

As long as they're the correct size they're a pain. I usually get a towel in each hand or the silicone oven mitts to pull them apart. As for putting them back together placing them on a flat counter top and pressing down from top while holding with the other hand. I've used boiling water to soak them in or a hairdryer as well to heat them up to give a bit more of flex to them. Good luck.
 
There is a tool called the Loc-Line Hose Assembly Plier. It comes in 1/2 and 3/4 sizes. Make sure you get the right size.

The by hand method is more difficult. Put piece with small end in freezer, and the piece with the big end slides on more easily (big end is at room temp). I never found this to work. I spent the $17 for the tool. BRS has it.
 
wow thanks. I dont have to drive. Putting the male in the freezer and female in the hot water worked like a charm. thanks @george1381
