Hey local reefers - I am out if Nori and have read it's signifantly cheaper buying from Asian grocery store instead of online it local pet stores. I don't use a lot , but want to suppliment the fish diets at least one a week. Ideas ? Closest Asian grocery is on Mcnight close to Babcock. Anybody purchase nori type product from that store or a different store? Please post.

It is cheaper at the grocery store. You could look in the local super walmart or bigger grocery stores in the enthic food section they should have it. Just make sure that it is not salted or have oils added. I've seen a lot with olive oil and salt. It is probably half price or less. Personally I just get the fish store stuff because I like the resealable foil pack for as much as I use it. $10 at the LFS lasts me 2 months if I'm feeding it to them frequently. The last time I bought the bulk pack 90% of it was still unused after a year and I questioned it's nutritional content after sitting around for a couple of months.

I always buy mine at Walmart. After opening the package, I put it in a ziploc bag in the freezer. I go through 2 or 3 sheets per week, so buying at Walmart has saved me a lot.

Thanks guys , that's exactly what I needed. Was that a regular Walmart or a "super". The one close to me doesn't have much in groceries.

I use the Ocean's Halo Organic Sushi Nori. You can look it up on the Walmart website and see who has it in stock. It looks like Cranberry might be the best bet for you.

After trying a few that the fish never touched. I picked up Julian Spung's Sea Veges at Reef Gallery yesterday. A picture is worth a thousand words. Even this picky eater is munching it along with my Blue Throat Trigger.
