Anyone know a local store where I can find bone cutters or some other tool to cut the plug part off of frag plugs so I end up with just the disk? I have a few I have had stuck in the sand that I'd rather have a little flatter to glue to rock.

I used a pair of pliers with wire cutters on them to cut the plug off and then filed it down smooth.

We are in Guntersville a lot. Living in Grant, it's the closest real town. I'll check Mike's out. It's been years since I've been in there.

I use an old (but clean) garden pruning shears for most fragging and cutting jobs. Bone cutters rust so quickly on me even though they are supposed to be stainless steel. They are kinda puny as well. My garden pruner does not rust and it is big and strong enough to cut frag disks and break small live rock rubbles well.

Cutting the little leg off the frag plug can be tough depending on ceramic materials. A tile saw may work better.

Mikes merchandise usually has them. I have also used diagonal wire cutters. But most of the time I just snapped them off by hand. Some were real tough and I had to use cutters though.

Dave, I thought you just bit the pegs off! :ah:
