locating my goby in my tank

Is there a good way to locate my goby in my tank, without having to pull out the live rock? I did a feeding, but he didn't come out.

See if he comes put when the lights go out , or in a day or 2.

do they usually walk about in the tank?

May be hiding in rock or sand. My yellow clown is not very active

This may not have been very smart, but I went through my tank, and could not locate him, which is strange. I will do an ammonia check. Hopefully he's just in a rock. I fed them the other day though, and everyone comes out, except him...

Did you check to see if comes out when the lights go out?

Yes, and I could not locate him. There is no trace of ammonia in my tank.
