Ok, so you get my point! Location is everything and I just bought 2 NICE Acan frags. At the moment they are sitting on a small piece of egg crate on the sand and doing amazing!! I want to place them but I don't know where and I don't want to move them since they are doing so well.. I have a platform area about MID- tank directly under a LE light. I always see pics of them on the sand.. What is a good spot? or what is recommended?
Also have a pagoda cup coral frag with the acans and don't know where to put that!

SOME BODY JUST POSTED THE SAME THING, WHO IS SELLING ALL THESE ACANS. HAHA!!! MINE GROW LIKE CRAZY ON THE SAND BED & I FEED THEM EVERY OTHER DAY.

Humm..I hate mine on the sand because I have very frisky hermit crabs! just this morning on was knocked off its resting place and was almost face down! I may move it to the platform that mid tank. f it does well I may glue it.

I have 15 types of acans! 13 are on my sand bed. One on a rock 3 inches from the sand bed and the other one middle. All of them doing good. I have two colonies with heads of 2 inches big. My flow is medium.
I feed mine once a week, before water change.

I have many acans under led lighting I even have some 4 inches from the surface near the corner and all are doing great
Radion g3 pro with natural deep reef with 9m depth offset set at 70 percent intensity
My only problem is my dang tang constantly nipping at my acans.

VERY NICE!!
Maybe ill slowly move one up a little and observe. I have a great spot mid tank I would love to have an Acan garden!

I find acans can take high light. For best color i believe T5 for acans. I have a hard time keeping rainbow with leds.

I have only LEDs and so far they are doing good but thy are on the sand bed and due to cyno my light is 50% max. Hopefully when I turn up the light some they will still be ok..

I just added t5's to supplement my radions and now my rainbow acans actually look rainbow.

So it mad a big difference?
I have two kessels I'm wondering if I were to get rid of one of them center the other one and then go far with a couple of T5 up there would it give me thd best of both worlds?!
