I screwed up one of my baffles in the sump. Instead of under/over/under, my first under is too short so the water goes under&over/over/under. I am thinking of adding a sheet of acrylic to the first one to make it a little taller. Will this product have any ill effects on the fish or coral? Can I do it without draining the sump?

I have a similar problem i'm following. Thanks. Do You want to do this with the sump full of water?

Yes. Apparently, this product will work underwater. It will not really have any pressure on it. Just need something to keep the water from going over the top of that baffle. I would rather not have to drain the sump, but also wonder if the epoxy will affect the water quality to the point that it could hurt the fish or coral.

I want to use some type of epoxy on a leaking seam of an old acrylic sump it's leaking in one corner. I'll have to remove ,sump wash & dry real good before doing this .

I'm not personally familiar with the Locktite Marine epoxy, but most epoxies, even if safe when cured, are not safe for the tank's inhabitants while curing. Have you tried emailing the locktite people?

Just to err on the side of caution I would suggest keep the repair out of contact with the tank water until completely cured.

One thought, if flow under the baffle is insufficient enough to cause flow over the top, won't raising the top just cause water level to rise on upstream side of baffle until it again overflows?

Good luck!
