This is available at home depot and said aquarium safe, does anyone use this? just want to co firm its actually reefsafe

Probably. Confirm that it’s 100% acetoxy cure silicone (smells like vinegar) and give it plenty of time to fully cure (I wait at least a week). Frankly, I don’t risk it. Pay a few more dollars for aquarium specific silicone. Maybe it’s just rebranded and a ripoff, but I view it as penny wise pound foolish to use hardware store stuff.
 
If it says aquarium safe I would use it. Not many are branded for aquarium use, but if it is true silicone it should be safe. I actually contacted dow or another company about there silicone. They wont give much info on aquarium safe or not, but most labels have the same ingredients. Just be sure not to use GE 2 with mildew resistant compounds added.
