I routinely test, and I've been logging the test results on paper for four years. I've looked at the Apex Fusion test log, but the data input is clunky, you can't bulk import data from something like an Excel file, and I don't know how long the test data remains on the cloud before it gets wiped.

Does anyone have suggestions for a free test logging software? I would love to enter this data electronically but even Excel is a pain.

are you looking for a phone app or a laptop program? to trend analysis results?

i use a rather basic note app on my iPhone (not the default iPhone Notes app though). it's basically just data logging, but somewhat searchable. i can see where trending data would be valuable if the data is collected on a consistently regular basis. (i test my water about twice a month ... probably not often enough to be useful).

I would prefer a software program for my desktop or laptop as that's where I do all of my Apex configuration, monitoring, and Excel logging. I would love to be able to set up a template and import data in a way where I could easily graph with data (possibly with control limits).

The biggest issue I'm running into is that I have mountains of historical data in Excel and paper logs that is not readily available for searching, trending, etc. Perhaps I'm asking too much! :)

Google sheets is a winner for me.
Took me a few hours to set it up, but if you know anyone under 20, probably a matter of 30 minutes.
I use google forms for the daily input. It's almost like filling out a registration form. Auto-populates the date, the there's a spot for all the major parameters. Larger fields and easier to type in than navigating a spreadsheet on the phone.

The data auto imports into my master spreadsheet and the charts self-update.

Care to share that spreadsheet? I would like one to log my data.

Aquarimate and a paper log.
I love aquarimate as it allows me to create multiple tanks, adding results and notes is straightforward and it creates graphs and does comparisons. Also allows u to track expenses if u want to do that and add a pictorial index to additions or timeline of each coral or fish. I can set tasks and also add parameters and normal limits and also reminders....
I'm not sure if u can have it on PC though nor if u can sync results between multiple devices for same account.
