So yeah I have 1 aiptasia on my frag plug right next to an acan coral. What should I do? I can’t buy aiptasia x at the moment and I don’t think I have enough room to burn it. Any ideas?

Scrape it off with an exacto knife? squirt vinegar into it with a hypodermic needle?
I’ve heard those methods can backfire and produce way more aiptasia. Do you have any bad experience with scraping it?

Remove the plug, carefully pry the acan off and toss the plug. Then glue the acan down somewhere else.

Scraping it off or squirting vinegar in a small container and not in the tank? Then rinse the plug in a second container of tank water, and put it back in the display.

I would take it out, scrape it off, use a tooth brush to make sure you get it all off then dip the plug and base in hydrogen peroxide multiple times being careful not to dip the acan itself in it. I used this method when I transferred my aptasia infested corals to a new tank and it seems to have worked. Been over a month and 0 aptasia.

Easier- Syringe and mix Kalkwasser powder into a runny paste and inject into core of aptasia which will melt away. No harm to acan
