Long Black Snail id

Anyone have any ideas to what snail this is? Is it safe to keep?

Anyway to catch it and sump the little guy till you find out.
 
I seen it earlier and thought Cerith, but I had a look at other options and a few Terebra shells were a close match.
 
By the shape of the shell, it seems to be Faunus ater, also known as the Black Devil Snail, because of its black shell.

They are very resistant estuarine snails and can withstand very varied ranges of salinity, from fresh water to salt water. It is more usual to see them in freshwater aquariums. They are omnivores and preferentially feed on food remains, decomposed organic matter and algae.
