Long drain line flow rate

As long as we all agree the 1500 is no problem for 1" pipe in a bean animal, it's my execution of the secondary drain then. This makes sense to me.

Do you have 2 elbows in the primary full siphon bean drain? Not sure if that effects performance.

This is your secondary/Durso?

I don't see a fresh air leak hole in the top. Without that, the air will be locked in the candy canes and it won't be flowing much at all.

Agree.

Looks like a small hole will need to be drilled in it. And then adjusted by upping the hole size until it is quiet.

In addition, I like to drill a 1/4" hole, run a small airline to it, and then put that to an air valve. From there, I can tune it to be dead silent via the air valve. Just got to be sure to keep valve above waterline of tank.

The secondary, otherwise know as durso in this thread, shouldn’t be more than halfway underwater. Otherwise it will make noise. Adjust the valve on the primary so that the water level on secondary is less than half. Like this

Note- it may take a few minutes to purge all air from primary to get full siphon/flow
