I would personally stay away from them. I think they look awesome, but anything that can completely kill a tank when it dies (which it eventually will of course) doesn't make it into any tank of mine. They aren't worth the risk to me.

I did something stupid. I got em lol I'm just gonna keep a close eye on him he's not to big, wish I had that Ledtric lights he would glow like a highlighter lol

Has anyone had any bad experiences with the longhorn cowfish? Such as poisoning the whole tank killing everything? Please your comments are highly appreciated and helpful! Thanks

No doubt they are the coolest but make sure he doesn't get stuck in a pump or that anyone is picking on him. When he gets sick is the real worry. Good luck, please keep us informed I have always wanted one, but they scare me.

When he dies he will take everything with it. If he starts acting sick or sluggish, take him out and put him in a zip lock bag an put him in the freezer. Its the most humane way..and its not worth hoping he will get better.

I had one years ago when it died nothing happened.I Have one currently 3yrs and he is big.I will have to at some point find a home for.My setup is 72x18x25.

Cowfish get stressed really easily, once stressed they get Ich.... It's downhill from there.

That's what I keep hearing "like the anemone horrible sting" over exaggeration. I hope it stays that way... He is AWESOME though coolest fish I ever had. He eats out of my hand and spits water when he's hungry lol. I noticed he bit my acan. I pray he doesn't pick at him again.

Thanks Skin he has a lot of spots all over him hard to tell if he ever gets it. I'll make sure to baby him he's very cool personality. He actually looks at you and can distinguish when you have food in your hand and will follow you, lol
