Long Nose Hawkfish not eating, now hiding

To me it looks like there is a little red along the edge of his gills and throughout his body? May be a bacteria infection? Try feeding without garlic for a feeding? You'll find out if he likes it or not pretty quick.

I noticed that red part too. I though maybe it was just translucent and that was his gill color showing through.

So I picked up the Furan-2. What is the best way to dose? I currently have a quarantine tank running copper after my blue hippo tang got ich. Decided not to fallow at this time.

Can I dose in a heated bucket with an airstone?

Sorry for your loss Secondary bacterial infections are very, very difficult to defeat. Especially when the "red" spot areas are on a red fish.

Yes, I think I'll get another. Was my wifes favorite fish. And yes he does have character, I liked him a lot.
