Looking to purchase a long polyp Goniopora and having trouble figuring out if it’s long or short just by the pictures. What do y’all think of this one? Long or short?

If only they actually answered their phones, I was thinking long as well.

I just went for it, I’ll update with pictures this week

It looks like a nice specimen!!! Goni’s are one of my favorites. I actually have a rock island on the side of my tank with about 7 different strains of different color Goni’s growing together. I feed mine directly twice a week with a moisture of oysterfeast and benepets. Sometimes reef roids . Good luck !!!

They’ve quickly become one of my favorites as well, I picked this one up last week and it’s a gorgeous Goni, shorter polyps than I had hoped but it’s beautiful.

Sometimes , sometimes not . Most times when manual feeding and sometimes when broadcast feeding
Just fed mine and he closed pretty hard today, always concerning because I’m sure it’ll stay closed all night lol

I’d say that’s a medium length. True long tentacled ones are very obvious.

Ugh I’m going to be disappointed again
Eh, it’s a nice looking coral so you can have a mix of short, medium and long in your garden. Plus maybe they just moved it so it’s not fully expanded. Love gonis, my fave. Can’t you tell? :) you can see some long tentacled ones in the pic.
