My coral beauty has been having long poop stringing behind it. I know that white stringy poop can be a sign of parasites, but this doesn’t look white at all, and it looks pretty solid, I wouldn’t classify it as “stringy”.

Is this something I should be concerned about? And if so, is there a way to treat for internal parasites without QT? I do have a QT tank but getting the coral beauty out would be dang near impossible as she spooks very easily and is always in the rock work.

I have one in my tank for about a year and always poop a long string but not white. I think is the way they poop cus mine is healthy and fat.

Fwiw, General cure or metroplex can be bound to food using focus. This is an effective-reef safe option... as long as you feed small amounts at a time (only as much as they will eat) and run carbon as a back-up. Feed at least twice a day for at least 10 days or up to three weeks if symptoms persist.

Also, I agree that the poop we consider symptomatic is white and stringy, like a piece of thread or dental floss.
