Long spine urchin

Could use some ideas got a long spine urchin and a green urchin. Put them in a bucket to drip acclimate and now the long spine has himself stuck in a ridge and doesn't want to come out. How do I get him out without hurting him?

I wouldn't force him He will come out when he is ready probably still acclimating. Wait, are you saying he is stuck in a ridge in the bucket? If so maybe try aiming a powerhead at him and see if he relocates.

Add a small piece of rock to the bucket. Once he climbs onto the rock, take it out

Thanks, I suspended that end of the bucket in the tank and put some dried seaweed on a piece of coral next to him to try entice him.

Well starting day 2. Hasn't moved over night. I suppose these guys can hang in one spot for days. Are most likely to move at night?

He's on the move, looks like he'll in his new home shortly.
