I’ve had this long spine urchin for like 2 years. Seems perfectly healthy. As time goes on, some spines have turned white in a radially symmetrical (non random) pattern. Normal?

Those are new spines.

They shed spines all the time and regrow them, just careful cause shed ones in the sand are still active if stung.

To the best of my knowledge, this is normal, yes. From what I've read, it seems many specimens develop more and more white spines as they age.

I don’t think they’re new ones. If anything they’re old ones about to fall off.
