Long Tentacle Anemone Care

So Tuesday I purchased two anemones. One long tentacle and another I forgot the name. The later is doing well and thriving but my long tentacle is making me nervous. My wife sent me these photos tonight and the other day where it constantly looks like this. One of the days I noticed some goo around it. I pulled out the anemone and it did not have “dead” smell so I placed it back in on top of some rock and it seemed to thrive that day. Only this morning it moved back to its original spot on the bottom of the tank and now looking like this again. It’s not burrowing in the sand neither. Any suggestions?

You could try placing a Tupperware container in the tank and putting it in that to see if the foot takes hold.

I remember LTAs have some nuances but I can't remember what they were. It likely won't attach to sand, which is why I would try the container to give it something solid and hopefully save it!

That LTA is bleached and has what appears to be a very large hole in its foot. It will not set its foot with a hole in it like that. It will simply wander, or be blown, around you tank until it eventually gets stuck behind your rocks or in one of your pumps. Sorry to say, but it will likely not survive regardless of what you do. I would strongly consider removing it from your tank before it starts to decay and pollutes your tank.
