Hi folks! So I have had a LTA for a couple months now. I bought it with a maroon clown hosting. It was in the same spot the whole time, eating well, fully extended, no gaping mouth. Then all of a sudden, it squirts its way under the rock and has been there for a couple days! I can see its tentacles in the back of the tank but its definately not fully inflated. Tried to pry him back out but realized his foot is well attached so I just let him be. He is getting very little light back there. All parameters are good. What do I do?!?!

Let it be. It will move when it needs to. If you are truly worried you can use a powerhead on high flow to try and get it to move or release. DO NOT PULL IT OFF THE ROCKS. Nems can be weird at times

Oh yeah once I realized he was attached, it was hands off! I mean...its going to crave some light eventually right? Im gonna give it a few more days and go the powerhead route. I should also add that hes still quite sticky lol. So it must not be a health issue.

When it starts to crave light it will move to satisfy its needs. Do watch it to make sure it doesnt expel its zooxanthellae. I'm sure it's all good though!

Mine lives at sand bed level, it took two weeks to settle and did hide for a couple of days, sounds like it is fine.

My only major concern is that I read somewhere that LTAs dont move around like other nems, and rely on currents for that. If thats the case then hes stuck there. But it seems that is a myth.
