I might be in the wrong place please excuse me. I went and bought a long tenticle anemone that’s been doing great. It’s been in the tank about 2 weeks. Feeding well, etc. today I noticed that it was in the tank, now I look and it was gone. But the hole where it buried itself was there and it looked like the base was there.

In a panic, I dug it out of the hole. I read that some are dying and bury themselves, some people say it’s normal, others say they tend to move around.
Can anyone let me know what may be going on? Thank you!!!

That anemone is seriously bleached. I don't think I have ever seen one that white.

Let's see if anyone in the #reefsquad has any suggestions.

It does look really bleached. Mine looked like that too at first. hopefully someone can help you with this. Mine moves around some still ive had him for 4 yrs and he went through 3 different tanks. I thought I lost him a couple times. I hope yours makes it. All I can suggest is light and stability for them.

Here are some Questions to answer to get the best answers here

How long has the tank been running?
Nitrates?
Phosphates?
Lighting?

here is a pic of mine now its the big green one.
