just got one from lfs and me and my fiancé goal is to get a anemone and clown to host. I have other corals and only 2 fish one clown and a Red Sea sailfin tang doesn’t anyone have any experience or know more about Lta? I was also thinking to get some baby clowns my lfs have and there’s a bunch of anemones in the tank

I have the common occellaris clownfish I been feeding the anemone mysis so the clownfish will maybe notice the anemone

It’s weird my sailfin is eating from the nem too? But I’ve noticed they were both stung??

I have LTAs that look almost exactly like that. Bought the original one over 10 years ago, it has split countless times. I have two cinnamon clowns (nearly 13 years old) and they didn't immediately enter, but they have called those nems home now for nearly a decade. I employed the technique I discussed in this thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/wont-host.300515/

Good luck!

I was lucky enough with my clowns but my orange blood clowns will host any anemones including Condys except Flowers.

While LTAs (corkscrew anemones) move but not as inclined as bubbles, they prefer to stick themselves in the sandbed so have a nice sandbed. Mine is like one inch if that and they are fine. I love LTAs due to their hardiness and seem to stay put. Mine moved once and stayed put ever since in that area.
I had a run of bad experiences with bubbles from premature deaths so I switched to LTAs.
These are my LTAs in a 10 gallon tank and they have grown since. Mine are so big, sometimes I can’t find my clowns lol. One was heavily bleached and shrunk to the size of a quarter. I don’t feed mine anything except it gets scrapes of flake food oddly since I see the tentacles close when food gets stuck in its super sticky tentacles.
They come in brown, green and purple. One of mine is green under blue lighting. I find them quite hardy in my 10 gallon with nothing fancy.
I do have 2 hang over filter with alot of carbon filtering though so I have to assume that makes a difference.

I’ll try that and I’ll keep feeding the nem mysis so the clownfish will have to keep going to the nem
