Nems are strange little guys sometimes. I have a couple. This one is the largest one I have. When I put him in the tank he shriveled up so small I thought it was a goner. Now look at it! Crazy too that it’s sitting on the rock and not in the sand bed. This is the first long tentacle nem that I have that does this.

It looks ok for a recently shipped anemone. Just watch for signs of it going downhill. Lta’s are pretty hardy and it will probably be fine.

No, that’s not what it should look like. I was just saying it doesn’t look too bad. Shipping in a non temperature controlled bag for 24 hours is stressful. Most anemones arrive stressed and show some mouth gaping initially. Not to mention those pics are much better than your original pics. You had pics showing the nem inflated, which is a good sign. It’s very normal for them to expel waste and zooxanthelle. Stuff coming out of their mouths isn’t bad in and of itself. Their mouth is also their anus after all. Keep watching it and provide high quality water with moderate to high flow.

if it smells, it's dead. They don't tart rotting until they are dead. Sorry for your loss.

I hope you took it out of that tank... I left a dying BTA in mine thinking I could save it, and it died in the middle of the night... nuked my tank with an ammonia spike. $400 of fish were dead when I woke up the next morning.
