Long tentacle anemone

Hello I have 3 long tentacle anemones I'm new to having these they have been in tank for about 3 weeks now they seem to be getting darker in color and moving around alot more this past week any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated please don't be mean just worried with them getting darker I might be doing something wrong

Moving alot means that it is not happy with it's environment (lights and flow). Post pic of anemone, list your temp, Nitrate, Salinity, Temp and Alk

As u said that they r turning dark, may be your lights r strong or your anemones r getting healthier. Still not an anemone expert.

You likely have much different chemistry and nutrients levels. It will hopefully adjust to your tank and be fine.

Thank you for replying guys and im glad i found the site with nice people....paras salinity 1.026 ammonia 0 nitrates 0 nitrites 0 ph is bouncing a tad from 7.8 and 8.2 I have a 125 gallon tank running Current USA 4228 Orbit Marine IC PRO LED Reef Aquarium Dual Light System

Definitely dose the NO3 up to at least 2 ppm.

0.5 - 1ppm in 24 hrs is safe. You can buy something like Brightwell’s NeoNitro to get this done. Follow the dosing on the bottle for your total volume. You’re anemone will appreciate it very much. Don’t be surprised if he inflates immediately after the dose, so take precautions.

Some test kits are better than others. Hanna, Salfert, Red Sea. Do not be afraid to mix and match. I use Hanna for DKH, PH, Nitrite, and Phos. But I use Red Sea for Cal/Mag. I keep a Salfert ammonia around to check things.

I use Hanna Nitrate High Range. Nyos is pretty good too, but only at lower numbers because over 10 ppm it’s hard to determine the color.

I agree. Depending on where it was purchased it could be in rough shape. Especially from a place like Petco.

I had them shipped from Florida to me they were inflated and very light when they got here I'll see if I have pictures from day one

288 LED's for 144 watts.
I don't know much about those lights but I question the punch they have to get in deep water.
Anenome do darken as a sign of recovering as said. Many are sold very pale and bleached out. They could also be getting dark with the production of more zooxanthellae, trying to produce more food for the anenome. Moving around is often a sign of lighting or flow problems. They are looking for the right amount of each.
I can't tell you which without being there or at least a really good video of the system.
I'm just questioning the lights.

Two of these anemones to me look like condylactus and one bubble tip possibly not long tentacle anemones. Current orbits may not be enough light long term for them. @OrionN is an expert on nem care and I’d.

I agree that you have Condylactis gigantea instead of LTA. These are Atlantic non clownfish hosting anemones.
They are fairy easy to keep and are beautiful but unlikely to host you clown fish.
