Long white worm like creature..

Hi, A few weeks ago I saw my squirrel pulling something out of the LR.. before i could take a pic, the squirrel ate it. It looked like a worm, white in color and at least 4 - 5cm in length. Any thoughts on what it could be? Unfortunately I don't have any pics of it.. as my squirrel ate it happily. Thanks in advance.
