Hi everyone,
I’ve got a new tank with a blue tang, 2 ocellaris clowns, a six line, a flame hawk, a bicolour blenny and a Longnose Butterfly in a 120. Everyone is doing really well and all are getting used to each other very quick except for the Longnose butterfly. Ever since I bought him 2 days ago he’s been hanging out in the corner. He isn’t flashing, no laboured breathing and showing no outward signs of being sick. He inspects mysis shrimp closely but hadn’t eaten yet. For the first day he raised his dorsal spines whenever he saw the blue tang but the blue tang doesn’t touch him so he starting to learn that he isn’t a threat but was terrified of the blue tang to the extent that when he started to come out and saw him, he’d go back to his corner. Do I have anything to worry about or is this typical Longnose behaviour when settling in?
