hello everybody,

I bought this fish on 23rd dec and so far treated the fellow for internal parasite and yesterday I thought those white spots along the vertebral spine aren't suppose to be there.
any id on those?
and just in case can they be treated with copper or cp?

in general the fish eats well and a lot, mysis, brine shrimp and scallops are on the menu.

thanks for any input and advice

cheers

Gonna need a closer picture if you can get one. They look pretty big though, I was thinking lymphocystis but I don't believe I have ever seen it on the lateral line area of a fish. Perhaps some other folks in the #reefsquad have some thoughts.

I can't see them clearly enough to tell. Have these been there the entire time you have had the fish?

million thanks everybody :)
I try my best to get a better pic while the fellow would eat from hand, he/she freaks out if there is a camera/hand phone.....

cheers

Looks like oddly placed lympho to me, but without a closer photo I cannot rule out anything else, as said above :)

today's evening are lesser spots than last evening, not sure what it is. I made more pics and uploaded them to google drive, the link below should work and somehow the quality is better than here at the forum.

one side looks clear (inside the basket) while the other have 2 spots now.

thanks for all advice and input

cheers

Do the spots appear to be just below the outer skin layer or on top of the skin?
it looks more like they on top but they have a spike shape. now only one spot is left and I can't see any reddish infection om the previous spot locations.

btw, welcome back! :)

Probably either Lympho or another viral infection that is clearing on its own.

And thank you! :)
