Longnose Hawkfish sleeping habits?

Added this guy last week after QT. He's healthy, displays no signs of distress or disease but last night came home late to see him sleeping sideways on the surface of the water against my overflow.

Normal?

Yep, mine does that occasionally , especially when I first got him. Sleeps on a rock now most of the time .

 

[Diesel]

Normal they go after a rock or so but I guess he loves your overflow.
Does he eat and breath normal?
