longspine black urchin?

I guess it depends on rock work and how much room it has to roam around, but I'd say 75 gallons would be the absolute minimum. IMO
 
I had a small one in a 40 gallon breeder for awhile. The one thing I didn't like about them is that it ate a lot of my purple coralline algae off my rocks. But after I took the urchin out it didn't take long for that to gtow back. Maybe go for a black short spine urchin? I really like the looks of the longspines with the orange eye tho

I always liked the long spine I had one years ago in a twenty nine gallon.i didn't know better then I called him dozer funny how they can sure doze over things.but they do need a lot more room to be happyand yes they eat corolinealgae but they do add character to any tank.
 
Anyone ever experience black long spine urchins eating corals or stealing food from corals?
